Studio Pottery Vase
A hand-thrown studio pottery vase with a classic bottle silhouette. The body combines warm iron-red clay with a band of finely incised diagonal lines. Around the neck, a mottled pale glaze breaks softly over the rim and shoulder, creating subtle tonal variation and depth.
The restrained proportions and earthy palette recall Scandinavian studio pottery of the 1960s and 70s, while the textured surface and layered glazes suggest the influence of Japanese folk pottery.
Measurements: Approx. 223mm high × c.100mm diameter at widest point.
Unattributed, c.1960s–70s.
Condition: Very good, with no chips or cracks.
