Solid Pitch Pine Kitchen Unit by Top Knot, Stamford, c.1990s

£350.00

A substantial piece of 1990s British furniture with a distinctly Scandinavian feel. Think Beata Heuman designing for Vaarni: heavy, beautifully grained pitch pine, practical detailing and plenty of visual texture, but with a clean, modern edge.

Open shelving sits above a lower drop-front glazed cupboard with a simple wooden knob. The back combines glazing with vertical tongue-and-groove boarding.

Made by Top Knot, Stamford, the unit is exceptionally solid, with a heavy timber frame and expressive grain throughout. Finished in a satin polyurethane varnish.

A versatile piece that works beautifully as wall-hung kitchen storage, but could equally become a pantry, drinks cabinet, utility-room cupboard or sit to the rear of a deep counter.
