Rörstrand Unique Dish by Hertha Bengston (1960s). Marked D232.

This dish has some slight cracks which have been professionally stabilised with resin by Georgina Castle

Rorstrand. 

1726 the first factory was built for Rorstrand. 2005 the factory closed down and is now the Rorstrand museum. 

Hertha Bengtson 1917 - 1993 

Bengtson had a passion for drawing but could not afford to pursue as a career full time, therefore she took evening classes in porcelain painting and joined Hackefors in 1939. In 1941 Bengtson joined Rorstrand, originally for work in decor but was also interested in design work. She designed 6 dinner service sets and also individual pieces of more creative work. Bengtson left Rorstrand in 1964.
