Mid-Century Rocking Chair in the Style of Ole Wanscher
A beautifully crafted solid beech Danish mid-century rocking chair, reminiscent of Ole Wanscher’s iconic design. While we cannot confirm its authenticity, this chair is an original mid-century piece, with Danish build quality and dimensions.
This chair is collapsible, making it easy to pack away when not in use—a rare and practical feature (as shown in the video).
We have refinished the beech frame with Osmo oil and beeswax, to highlight the warmth and the beech grain.
For added comfort and longevity, we have replaced the old cushions with feather-wrapped foam cushion and reupholstered them with a loose cover using a high-quality recycled wool textile by Bute. This fabric meets commercial-grade durability standards.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with a newly made cushion and upholstery. The refinished wooden frame shows minor wear consistent with age.
