Herman Miller Eames DSW Chair
An original Eames DSW chair by Herman Miller, featuring an early fibreglass shell on the less-common higher leg configuration.
Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950, the DSW is one of the most recognisable designs of twentieth-century modernism. This example has the rich surface appearance and weight of an original fibreglass shell, paired with the characteristic wire base.
The chair has a 43 cm seat height, slightly higher than the standard 41.5 cm DSW, making it particularly comfortable at a dining or desk height. It is in very good vintage condition and retains its Herman Miller mark to the underside.
A classic Eames design with the appeal of original fibreglass construction and a less-common taller base.
Dimensions: 465 W × 470 D × 795 H mm
Seat height: 430 mm
