Allmilmö ‘Rainbow’ chairs, Germany, 1980s

£800.00

A striking matching pair of Allmilmö ‘Rainbow’ chairs, made in Germany in the 1980s.

Beautifully formed in bentwood with plywood seats, the chairs have distinctive curved seats, sweeping arms and curved bases that give them their name. They are sculptural yet friendly: a particularly good example of the playful, organic side of 1980s German design.

We particularly like their generous scale: wide enough to sit in comfortably, while remaining compact enough to tuck neatly beneath a dining table. Rubber pads beneath the base protect the floor.

Comfortable, practical and highly distinctive.

Sold as a matching pair, as they look so great together.

Dimensions: H 74 × W 54 × D 46 cm
Seat height: 43 cm
